Cayleigh is a law student at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia and will be earning her J.D. in 2019.
Prior to her legal studies, Cayleigh obtained a Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia before working in the office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of British Columbia. In addition, she volunteered with West Coast Legal Education and Action Fund facilitating legal workshops to youth across the Lower Mainland.
At law school, Cayleigh was the Vice President of the Allard Law Women’s Caucus organizing multiple events and initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality in the legal profession and broader community. She presented legal workshops to high school students through the Legal Education and Outreach program, provided access to justice to low income community members through the Law Students’ Legal Advise Program, and worked as a research assistant.
As a temporary articled student at Dolden Wallace Folick LLP, Cayleigh has appeared with senior counsel in Chambers, prepared pleadings, conducted research, and assisted senior counsel in disputes relating to strata property, personal injury, occupiers’ liability, and professional negligence.
Cayleigh has been selected for the 2018 Peter Burns Moot Team where she will participate in a competitive mock trial and undergo intensive training and preparation for trial advocacy.
