Jakub Ksiazek
Jakub Ksiazek is a skilled litigator with considerable experience in prosecuting and defending a broad variety of claims, including contract, personal injury, professional negligence cases, investor fraud, construction claims, and other matters. During his fifteen years of practice, Jakub has successfully represented hundreds of clients in matters of varying complexity, ranging from simple disputes to complex and lengthy multi-party proceedings. This comprehensive background allows Jakub to formulate and deliver sound, objective, and practical advice and strategy to all of his clients.
Jakub has appeared before all levels of the Alberta Courts. He has chambers, trial, and appellate experience, having conducted numerous applications and a number of trials and appeals. He has also appeared before the Alberta Securities Commission.
In addition to traditional litigation, Jakub has successfully led or participated in several arbitrations. He has significant experience in alternate dispute resolution and in negotiating settlements, having skillfully represented clients in many dozens of Court assisted or private mediations.
During the course of his career, Jakub spent some years tutoring law students at the University of Calgary and has repeatedly presented on various legal topics, most recently in connection with apportionment of liability in construction claims.
