John Devlin is an associate in Dolden’s Calgary office. He is a skilled litigator with extensive experience prosecuting and defending construction and engineering claims, as well as contract claims, shareholder disputes, and other matters. Prior to joining Dolden, John practiced general commercial litigation at a national firm, and before that for a litigation boutique in Calgary. He has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta.
John was called to both the Ontario Bar and the Alberta Bar in 2012 after completing his articles at the Federal Court in Ottawa, where he served as law clerk to Hon. Dolores Hansen, a judge of the Court and member of the Administrative Tribunal of the International Labour Organization. Subsequently, he attended Harvard Law School as a US-Canada Fulbright Student, graduating with an LLM in 2014.
Outside the office, John was once a very avid reader and video gamer, but of late devotes the bulk of his free time to chasing his two young sons around at playgrounds and similar venues.
